JANN (narrating) …As for David’s Partner Paul, the challenges in his personal life are well known. After serving as Chairman of the board for seven years, Paul is now honorary chair for the EGPAF. He and his wife Elizabeth began the project after she unknowingly received an HIV tainted blood transfusion during child birth. Sadly, both their daughter and herself both succumbed to the virus.

JAN: You made a promise to Elizabeth. Did you even promise that you would remarry?

PAUL: Well, I don’t know if it was a promise. It was kind of a, you know, it was understood that, it was understood that you’re not gonna stop. That’s what she was all about.

JANN: (narrating) Paul did keep going and did remarry. He and his wife Tracy have a six year old daughter and Paul says his 19 year old son Jake, although HIV positive is doing great.

As for Starsky and Hutch, the original series is back with all 22 first season episodes on DVD, March 2 nd.

While Paul still acts occasionally, he has spent most of his time behind the camera directing stars ranging from Arnold to Shaq. (Clip of Paul directing Running Man and Kazaam)

JANN (narrating) You couldn’t have Starsky and Hutch without that famous red and white striped gran torino the stars nicknamed the “red tomato” and to make the upcoming Starsky and Hutch movie, producers brought in 9 of the classic cars but none of them were used in the series.
