Hi Paul We met about 10 years ago when i came to a PAF garden party in LA. I was representing British Airways who wanted to sponsor EGPAF. All was going well until sadly 9/11.
Although our meting was very brief i remember it like it was yesterday. I have continued to follow your journey and look forward to reading your new book. Wishing you all the happiness and success with your new venture Love Kathryn

hey i have read a few blogs of yours now and it seem that u r a very deep person, sad, wondering. we dont get to choose our paths of life it seems we just follow it,like it was laid out for us,it has been said and i quote "god only gives us what we can handle" at which i have questioned beyond belief i feel at which i think im not alone. sometimes the ear of a stanger is the best to vent, to admitt,to confess to,because they have no background relationship to u in which to judge you with, peace and happieness is what we all seek i hope in your heart of hearts u find yours .....im still seeking :)

Hi. I wanted to ask if the book that you have written is the same story that you made up for your daughter Ariel all those years ago? Hope you are well and going to come to Florida on your book tour.

Hi, My name is Susan. I would like to know what cities you will be going to on your book tour. I live in Florida near The Villages and about 60 miles north of Orlando. Would like to know if your are coming our way? Thanks for your time.

Dear Cat,
Your Dec 10th blog sums up so succinctly why S&H fans loved the show. We lived vicariously through the characters of S&H to fill an all-too-common void of our human existence - the lack of belonging. To go out of one's self & mesh one's soul with another, fulfills far more than accomplishments, success, or creature comforts. People need validation, unconditional acceptance, and a knowing on a very deep level that they are really understood. The basic core human need is to be bonded with another - to belong - to have the "rights" to another's time, attention, stuff and concern because of the love that is shared; to know that each is not alone but a part of the other; to have a healthy inter-dependency. Real love requires sacrifice and mutual vulnerability. It abhors abuse and selfishness.
Is this too idealistic? Does such a thing exist? Well, we were drawn to it on the screen so we took it for what it was worth and for the need it fulfilled.
I can recall no other T.V. show that explored and expressed this theme of belonging in such a visible fashion. Maybe they weren't afraid to show that to the world. Maybe they forgot the camera was rolling. (It doesn't really matter who they were in real life.) In any case, people will still be drawn to the show because of that dynamic. hb

Good morning! Wonderful to read the blogs and I found Cat's post Dec 2010 and Hilda Liprace's April 12 2011 particularly poignant. Reading several of Paul's comments publically, I wonder if he has read on Hinduism, one of the oldest and sustained religions over 6,000 years. It is a religion rich in stories about the fraility, strengths, struggles, choices and ultimately about the humaneness (another word would be light) that is present within each one of us. To my simple interpretation, it is about tolerance and acceptance and not asking why, but simply why not? I so look forward to reading Pmg's book. Take good care, Vanaja.

in english then in french

it's true...now it seems it is always someone else's fault but the parents when something happens to a child

I read Elizabeth's book and how much she loved being a teacher. I have worked as an aide in the inner city schools of San Diego for the past twelve years. I wonder what she would make of our schools today-the way teachers are not safe in the classrooms, parents have abdicated all responsibility for their children, and kids are using every excuse to avoid an education. If you have any thoughts on these matters, I'd like to hear them.
